Perhaps a normal name and concise questions might evoke a response?

Ok, so I'm a new trader... only been trading live for a few days. I had been restricted to GM in 100 share clips, but I have performed decently so I am soon going to be allowed to trade other equities with the restriction that each security has an average daily volume of 5 million shares. As I said, I am a new trader, and thusfar have only taken my seven... so NYSE stocks only. Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

You need to first establish a clear strategy for your trading. Then you select the stocks that best respond to that strategy. The most effective way to do this is through backtesting. What stocks clearly provide the characteristics that will support your strategy? What are the fundamental and technical characteristics that they have in common?

If you don't have a clear strategy, then you are in trouble out of the gate. But if you do, then selecting the right stocks to trade with that strategy should not be difficult.
