New system needed

To make it easy for you...

Get a Precision T3400 with the dual Nvidia Quadro NVS 290 video cards option. That will run 4 monitors up to 1900x1200, DVI.

Repeat...

I looked at that system but over here Dell lists among other options :

"Nvidia Quadro NVS 290" no mention of "Quadro".

So does this card support 2 monitors or 4 ? (Dell reps are useless)
I don't think I can put two of those cards in a Precison, again the problem of the PCI e slot....

Maybe if there are two PCI slots available in Dell systems I could try and put an old PCI video card in there IF I find one .

There is only one "290".. it's the Nvidia Quadro NVS 290. It's PCIEx16, and supports 2 monitors. (There is also an NVS 290 PCIEx1)

The T3400 has TWO PCIEx16 slots.

Yep, each NVS-290 has 2 hook-ups via the cable that is included with the T3400.

There are two PCIEx16 slots on the T3400 motherboard, thus allowing for TWO of the NVS-290s . . . which equals support for 4 monitors!
