It could be! By rights it should be! But how can the Republicans shed the Democrats' best weapon, Donald Trump? Trump was a somewhat known TV personality and pussy grabber last time around but relatively unknown to much of the electorate. Now ~70% of the country has learned he is a lying, goofus, insurrectionist. Still 30% of the electorate think he's -- to use his own words -- a "stable genius".
Why only 30%? We know there are a lot more than 30% of the electorate that traditionally have described themselves as Republican, or Republican leaning. Apparently that low fraction of Trump stalwarts is due to a significant number of old line Republicans having jumped ship.
The fat orange pussy grabber affectionately known as "The Donald", and described by his Niece as "the most dangerous man in America", is the darling of such appealing creatures as Cancun-Ted, Hair-Dye Rudy, "No-one-would-believe-that-your-honor" Sidney, and Turkeyneck Mitch -- all of whom hate "The Donald's" guts when behind closed doors -- and uninformed assorted nuts. These unsavory plutocrats and working class lunatics know there numbers are too few to win any honest election, so they are working day and night, when they are not searching for bamboo fibers, to make certain the next election is rig-a-ble. The 2020 election was just a dry run for them. They might succeed in 2024, but only God knows how well they'll do in the Mid-terms where there is no electoral college for the State legislatures to jigger! For the mid-terms they have been reduced to old-fashioned Gerrymandering, moving polling places twenty miles out of town, and preventing drinking water from being delivered to those standing for hours at the polls.
Given all the exposure of Trump's attempt to pull off a coup and set himself up as Autocrat-in-chief, how does one escape the feeling that Donald Trump might just be the Democrats best weapon?; maybe a weapon powerful enough to save the bungling, but honest and sincere Joe.
Joe's a mixed bag of outstanding achievements, bungled opportunities and bad judgement. Will the pussy grabber's endorsements carry the day in November 2022. I'm not so sure. The House might flip, but I expect the Democrats to pick up the two seats they need in the Senate to neutralize Manchin and Sinema. Has Trump's gallivanting and endorsing, in effect, placed his unsavory orange ass on this Fall's Ballot. If so, it could happen that the Democrats emerge in November stronger rather than weaker. As far as 2024 goes, would both Joe and Donald please go quietly away.

It is a difficult task but Bidens position to just give more money to police to hire more police and buy more equipment and other resources with no reforms is a knife to the back of millions of blacks and police reform advocates.
You think this is no big deal but democrats rarely have black approval ratings below 90%.Obamas and Clinton's approval ratings were never as low as Biden's because blacks had their backs during the lowest points of their presidencies.In modern politics without 90% of the black vote and high black voter turnout Dems do not win the presidency.
Democrats only hope in 2022 and 2024 is that millions of people who were not going to vote democrat will change their minds to save abortion rights.

There's police reform (e.g counties in Massachusetts, Colorado, and a few other counties across America) that has many calling the reform groundbreaking. Unfortunately, the Republicans will not allow those types of reforms to go to the national level.

In addition, I stated specifically that some of those issues can bring out protesters (e.g. abortion, anti-abortion) just as much as police brutality but with less violence when it gets dark.
Thus, it would be a smart tactic to switch from defunding/reform the police to abortion considering they may be able to get out similar vote numbers but I doubt it will save the 2022 midterms considering it seems already an expectation (Republicans take control in 2022) before Biden took office in January 2021 to occur regardless what was occurring in America.
Reminder - Biden's poll numbers begin dropping when the January 6th committee was formed or when he went after Covid with vaccinations and mandates...putting everything else aside. A few more hits about the Afghanistan withdrawal, Ukraine, Baby Formula...
Now he's trying to get ahead on the abortion issue because he will need to re-group coming out of the mid-term losses.
Thus, I will be watching the 2024 Presidential Election because I'm with many about the turnover for the 2022 midterms...as expected before Biden was inaugurated...
Biden will not be running in 2024 unless something crazy happens before 2024.

Those of us who grew up in NYC knew trump to be a big bag of wind, assclown and one who went through numerous bankruptcies. When the Apprentice came onthe world was now seeing the arrogant me me me character we watched in the New York Post Daily. When he ran for president the rest of the country got to meet the trump we all knew and could not stand. Sticking it to Hillary was really easy for him given his personaility and the fact his team knew how to sell an image that his followers bought. The tax cut was passed by a GOP dominated Congress...that was gonna happen anyway.
trump is no longer a secret and also he is old so the complaints about bumbling biden fall on deaf ears when people want to elect a fat old mumbling idiot like trump next...

As I stated, then it's a smart tactic to get voters for other issues like abortion considering it can bring out the vote...arguably more than defunding the police.
Yet, things change fast...other issues can quickly become more important that help voters to vote one way, the other, or not vote at all.

It's still an issue today, look at all the followers of Trump that, still today, keep mentioning Obama and Hilary.
One did his two terms and the other is too sick of politics for her to get involved again. Yet, the GOP just can not forget about them just as bad as they keep saying the 2020 election was stolen although ironically they won many seats on the congressional level that were not stolen.
