Those who are still whining about Wright, whom Obama fully denounced, aren't going to ever vote for him anyway so who cares. As far as Rezko, yeah go there if you got something concrete. But I suspect you got nothing.

So you're saying that a person's dishonesty, even from 20 years ago, does not reflect on that person's character? Don't tell me you're that stupid.
And if Wright did not do anything wrong, why did Obama have to denounce him? And if what he did was wrong, why did Obama wait 20 years, and only after he saw his candidacy in jeopardy because of this, to distance himself from Wright? All this reflects bad judgement on Obama's part, which was the original point of this discussion.
You want something concrete on Tony Rezko? He was CONVICTED on several counts of fraud and bribery this year, and is under indictment for wire fraud in a separate case which is going to trial in 2009. So you have your guy Obama not only associating with but doing business with a convicted felon. Is this concrete enough for you?

I didn't say Wright didn't do anything wrong, and Obama did denounce him. If you don't care, so be it. Other people are willing to let that stuff go.

And unless you have something criminal on Obama in his dealings with Rezko, you're just flailing like a fish in a boat. Rezko wasn't under indictment when Obama associated with him. You looking for some retroactive guilt by association? Yeah that's the rightwing shenanigans all decent people know and loathe.

The bottom line: can a person learn from his mistakes and do better in the future? Looks like Obama is doing a better job of that right now than McCain. Joe Biden has been squeaky clean the last 21 years. McCain picks a veep currently under serious investigation for abuse of power so he can collect the mythical Hilary-or-die supporters.

Listened to the call. Just a thought...there better be alot more than that though, or Palin has no problem. By the way, I heard nothing on that tape that said that Palin was "on board with the intimidation of a government official". Maybe you miss-phrased that statement.

What I heard is that Palin and her family couldn't understand why nothing had been done about this trooper who had cleared violated various rules. I doubt that's abuse of power Dave.

Just so you got all your facts straight, here's the difference:

McCain was investigated and exonorated.

Biden was investigated, and found guilty, and later admitted it.

Big difference. LOL.
