Stores were banning people from bringing their own bags because of Covid.

So no owner bags, n paper bags and no plastic bags. Really well thought out plan they have there.

Banning paper bags is complete nonsense.

Pretty soon they will be banning toothbrushes because they are plastic. I guess we will have to grow our fingernails long and use them to brush out teeth.

There's a few issues...

Its destroying the environment, it consumes too much energy to produce or both.

Most consumers that are into recycle typically only look at what it does to the environment. Rarely do they look at what (e.g. energy, water) that it took to create the item.

Paper bags consumes more non-renewable energy than plastic or any other product and sometimes 3 - 5x more if there are colour (logos, instructions) on the bag.

The other day I went for a very long hiking and jogging in the forest...I was shocked to find disposable face masks along a 5 mile trail.

How hard is it for someone to put it in their pocket ?

People just do not care nor understand the dangers to the environment nor do they understand / underestimate the dangers to wildlife.
