New IB Features

In addition, many API-front-ends don't support custom offset for STPLMT, which makes e.g. useless for markets like mini-oil (QM).

You can look at ButtonTrader which will always work. It even has code in it for monitoring not functioning Stop-orders, and will intervene when it does not function, and correct it immediately.

Could you please PM me a screenshot and point out which number(s) is/are wrong? Thanks.

I would, but a screenshot wouldn't help.

I spent 20min on the online realtime Chat (the java app) earlier today and your support staffer agreed that there was a difference of about -$500 between the "Futures PnL" shown in TWS->Account and what it should have been, based on closed trades and MTM of open positions.

Now I'll have to wait for daily statement and check the numbers by hand...

Is there a listing anywhere for the maximum LIMIT allowed on a STOP LIMIT set by the exchanges e.g I want to replace My STOP MKT orders in strategies wioth STOP LIMIT with (very) wide LIMIT but not so big that maybe I risk having the order rejected by the exchange.

IBsoft, I'm not sure I understand.

It's (now) my understanding that IB STOP orders for eCBOT are ignored outside of 09:30-17:00EST, regardless of "trigger outside RTH" setting. I.e. they don't work for the first 1hr10min of US bonds (ZB/ZN etc) RTH.

I assume you mean to use STPLMT+"trigger outside RTH"; which is also simulated by IB for eCBOT and again has had it's problems on occasion:

In addition, some API-front-ends don't support custom offset for STPLMT, which makes e.g. Ninja useless for markets like mini-oil (QM). (ofcourse 3rd party apps isn't IB's fault, but offering simple working STOPs for eCBOT would be helpful)

You are correct, currently it is only the stplmt on eCBOT that can be set to trigger outside RTH. We are in the process of reworking the RTH topic.

I had no idea IB has created such cottage industry of TWS clients. Does anyone have a comprehensive link list of what's out there?

zeroline
buttonwood
etc...

Thanks

Hoi, yes I know ButtonTrader, in fact I considered it the best of all TWS front-ends I had evaluated (was 9 months ago, so things may have changed).

It was just that I thought BT had too many features and I just needed a relatively simple DOME entry and bracket order mgmt.

I thought the same thing about Button. I am very happy with Zerolintrader for IB. I also use the the simstops that stay on my machine for everything but stop limits on globex and it seems to work well. I am not complaining or worried about my stops dissapearing. :) ZLT seems stable and it is beyond cheap.
