IBSoft, say if i am in asia and i do as you suggest to trade US markets.

What about the orders that are held on IB servers ?
Once IB's HK server receives such orders, are they propagated to US server, held there waiting to be triggered ?

What happens if i have a conditional order and the HK server goes into maintence while US markets are still open?

Vanilla orders get sent to the US.
I think the conditional/simulated orders depend on the order type. I'll clarify this a bit later.

What happens to your order while HK is in "maintenance" depends on whether or not the order was sent to the US.

A good news though is, that for those HK customers who receive their market data from the farms (which soon will be everyone) the "maintenance" only last 1-3 minutes. If you are on the farm and experience longer maintenance time, please do let me know, just in case there is a glitch we are not aware of.
 
I use SierraChart with an IB feed and had to use the backfill function for the first time in a while today. I noticed that it is now by the minute now (instead of whatever the lower interval it used to be the last time I used it). When did this change and why?

We made the change when we introduced the 5-day backfills. Depending on the length of the time the user requests, we return the data with what we deem to be appropriate granularity. This is so as not to burden the back and from end processes and to keep the communication between the two to a manageable level.

When issuing a query you can specify the desired resolution, although if you go extreme, we will over-ride.
 
IBSoft -- is there a method of removing the chart-legend pop-up? I run IB charts on occasion and it often obscures the chart. Thanks.

I'm using IB with NINJA front. Just observing the quotes on ER2, why does the market depth of the DOM show 0's for all levels when there's a sudden sharp move?

Please check whether it does the same on the TWS BookTrader. If so, please PM "DAV". If not, you'll have to ask Ninja.
