a maximum speed of 130 kilometres an hour. The world's first highway-ready electric
car is now in North America. Mayor Gregor Robertson accepted the keys to a new
i-MiEV Friday on behalf of the City of Vancouver. "We are very excited in Vancouver
here to have the i-MiEV's and honoured to be chosen by Mitsubishi as the Canadian
partners for launching the i-MiEV in Canada." Vancouver is the first city to pass a by-law
requiring charging stations for electric vehicles in new developments. Mitsubishi has
also given two cars to BC Hydro."
