Reducing emissions using technology is great and I'm all for investment in that.
I just don't happen to believe the earth is drastically warming and doubt that human activity can be so directly implicated based on the data that I've seen. We are more than likely, at some point, headed for an ice age.
We are in an inter-glacial period. The last few ice-ages have had relatively short temperate periods in between them. The vast majority of time has been spent iced up. Its just what our planet does in response to massive volcanic activity or debris kicked up by something striking Earth. During the temperate periods the temps varied pretty dramatically, all before any significant human industrialization.
