New FTI (Federal Terrorism Investigators) to be planned

Quote from pspr:

You missed a few:

Air Force Office of Special Investigations
Army Criminal Investigation Command
Coast Guard Office of Law Enforcement
Defense Intelligence Agency
Defense Logistics Agency Criminal Investigations Activity
Defense Security Service
Immigration and Customs Enforcement
IRS Criminal Investigation Division
Marshals Service
Naval Criminal Investigative Service
National Security Agency
Postal Inspection Service
Regional Environmental Enforcement Association
Secret Service

No wonder we're broke.:(

And even though I voted for Bush twice (I had to!) I lay the blame at his feet for the DHS, and TSA nightmare.

It's a good thing there is enough crime to keep all these investigators busy.

Wow this is insane, more duplication of efforts. Now FBI and now FTI and of course none will talk to each other because of turfwars and it will actually be worse.

Why not get rid of all these agencies and just have one agency for everything?

We have ATF,DEA,FBI,CIA,DHS,Customs,Immigration,FTI now etc..

this is what i've been saying.. roll them into one, then there is no excuse like 'oh the FBI didn't share that info with us wahhh'. I almost think they want this inter-department confusion so they have an excuse for when they fuck up. They just created the DHS to improve the flow of info between depts and it didn't work, so now they want to do it again!? if you can't do it right with 5 or 10 or 20 depts.. how is 21 gonna fix that? This is as you say, literally, INSANE.

I know what you're saying about multiple agencies and the "I've got! No, I've got it!" problem, but one big agency "to rule them all" might come with a downside, too. I would think those who fear the police state most would be aware of that.
