Presumably they'd have the drop on you.
Being first ftw.
I don't need to look up S.A., I've been at the martial arts longer than you.Quote from Tsing Tao:
Not necessarily. In the occurrence in the OP, there was no gun pulled (the article would have said a gun was pulled, or other weapon). Additionally, there is this thing called "situational awareness". You might want to look it up.
Presuming incorrectly. Not for the win.

But you're right, I admit I didn't read the article. My point is, if everyone is armed, thieves will simply pull first, like they did in the wild west.

Terrific.
Let's not ignore the role Odumbo and Holder have played enabling this immoral excuse for violence.

Not sure there'd be fewer robberies. Might be an article of faith. Maybe they'd be confined to white collar robberies after that.Quote from Tsing Tao:
Really? I wasn't aware. Please tell me your martial arts background. SA isn't a martial arts thing, by the way.
And if everyone was armed, there wouldn't be anywhere near as many robberies. Just because you get the drop on the guy in front of you doesn't mean the guy across the street won't get the drop on you.

Martial arts since 1973. I'm guessing that's about longer than you've been alive. Of course that makes me old. : )
I've progressed, basically in this order, with overlap, through fencing, judo, boxing, shotokan, TKD and TSD, several Philippine styles using knives, swords, sticks (one hand and two), police techniques (won't share name), muay thai, and finally JKD, which incorporates many of these. I was a multi-range fighter before anyone thought of the term "MMA". And I practiced combat handgunning too, one summer. Ever done a forward roll with a loaded semi-auto tucked across your belly? : )
Not boasting, nostalgia.
