- Hopefully, this person is n = 1 person and not someone that became infected from someone else that did not get tested after having mild symptoms.

Thank you for highlighting the fact that this person is fully vaccinated. From the discussion on Austria the other day... how did it travel there when the unvaccinated are not allowed to travel leave their homes w/rare exceptions
The obvious answer, it’s crossing international boundaries via fully vaccinated travelers.
By all indications omicron is not near as deadly as it's predecessors, I don’t think any deaths have yet been attributed to it. The question we should be asking does omicron recovery give immunity for delta?
You could enter Austria as a tourist (before this lockdown) with only a PCR test within 72 hours. You did not need to be vaccinated to fly into Austria.
I don't know the details specific to Austria but I do know that people in Austria are in fact leaving their homes to go to work, shopping or other activities (e.g. protesting).
- As someone else stated...the world scientists and Covid research labs are still testing Omicron plus doing genomic sequencing of earlier positive Covid cases. I wouldn't be surprised if it's been here before restrictions in countries like Austria were imposed.

So have they traced their outbreak to an unvaccinated person? I’d say there’s more vaccinated people flying than unvaccinated and since even the makers are acknowledging that omicron may elude current vaccines the odds are in favor of fully vaccinated spread.

DeSantis supposedly keeps all the variants in a drawer under his bookshelf and releases one onto the Florida population in order to kill as many as he can, according to GWB the NPC.
Austria has not announced if their initial case(s) were vaccinated or not vaccinated.
I just want to be clear that your claim that you have to be vaccinated to fly to Austria is completely false.
