I've got an M1A with a decent optic. Probably reach out and touch Vag-boy out about 600-700 yards (the distance from the house to the bottom of the driveway). The gun can hit farther in more skilled hands than mine. Its just a Standard, not a Match model. Gotta love a main battle rifle but it is pretty heavy to schlep.

I didn't mean to be a jerk to the guy. I really mean him no harm, but, as Dirty Harry said, "A man's gotta know his limitations." I am no genius when it comes to MOST things, but I am not a complete idiot when it comes to guns. I also don't like it when somebody wants to blow smoke up my hind side...which those who promulgate the "AK-47 is badass" crap are doing (blowing smoke up our hind sides)! Good night!

No need to apologize.In rough conditions your Ferrari just might be stuck just like your jam o matic AR's.The AK on the other hand can take dirt,dust,water,snow,thousands of rounds without cleaning and keep on going
