Let Haroki try an experiment and see how it goes:
Let him drive to Area 51 and try to approach the barbed wire and see what happens. What will happen is that he will be shot without warning. Haroki wants us to believe that to protect the most important air space in the country and to protect itself Pentagon (and NORAD) would have to ask permission from FAA to order an intercept. This is laughable and should be rejected out of hand.
There is something called military air space in this country. You don't go there without permission and if a civilian aircraft ventures there depending on speed, severity of "trespass" and sensitivity or object being protect the civilian aircraft will either be escorted out or shot down. This is how it is this is and how it has always been in the modern era.
According to Haroki people sitting in NORAD on 9/11 were drinking coffee and watching casually for russian bombers to come in from the direction of Alaska and were totally oblivious to what was going in the country. As proof he gives links to some obscure internet forum and tangentally to testimony of Richard Myers (LOL!).
You don't REALLY know the way NORAD works in order to do that you will have to be up there in terms of security clearances. But what you know for sure, is that the military ain't going to ask permission from the FAA to protect pentagon.
