If no additional commercial jetsliners were in the area then why would the military need to disburse jet fighters?

Also, looking at the tiny fires on top of buildings there is no way it caused both to instantly implode.

You are just lost my friend....SOP for military ops is to scramble fast movers into aircap "hold zones" to PREVENT/DETER additional potential attacks. There was LOTS of flights still in all airspace near the inside job attack areas (lots of commercial/private air traffic until the mass FAA imposed grounding).
