If you try to send something back they will "accidentally" put the refund on a gift card. Then you have to spend your money there and can not get it back from them. They are rip offs. They know Walmart is joining the online shopping club and will take them out of the game. They have resorted to shady tactics. Beware. You have been warned.

Some of the stuff I have ordered from Amazon are weird stuff, or things with no brands and no retail packaging.
There was a recent survey that showed Amazon products rank high with chemicals in them known to cause cancer.

They are falling apart at the seams. I have had 4 problems with them in the last month or so. I've never had a problem until lately. They just ripped me for a huge amount. They say they can't refund to my debit card since I ordered a $5 movie from the gift card. Hell, I didn't even know I had a damn gift card. I've been waiting for the refund to show up in my bank account. Also they have signed me up for Prime twice and charged me without my consent. WTF? And once they sent me an item that didn't even resemble what I ordered. (No, it was not a 3rd party seller). They are also mean to their employees from what I have read on the Internet. Way worse than Walmart. I hope Trump takes these Global Chinese goods marketers out. Same with Walmart, otherwise known as ChineseMart.

That's true. I bought a lot at them, but after receiving Chinese fakes from a couple of their resellers I cut down. Recently they ripped me off with a so called free return. Normally you could print a shipping label for a free return at their website, but in this case I could only print an address label and had to pay the return charges myself beforehand, after which they reimbursed half of the shipping charges later on to me.
You're mixing marketplace and Amazon supplied direct, Amazon has supply chain processes in place and a reputation to uphold, their sellers don't, and it's virtually impossible to perform due diligence on the sellers. So almost always avoid marketplace sellers on Amazon and it's rare you have a problem. One would think that's common sense but apparently not.

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and have never had any problems. Maybe it is because I do not buy "designer" stuff that would be knocked off.
Lately they seem to have issues on shipping though. Things are taking a week or more to even ship. I have Amazon Prime and still it sits there saying "Not yet shipped". I cancelled two orders this week due to shipping delays. One item was a portable propane heater ordered on December 10th and it was cancelled because they said it was expected to ship on the 27th? I am not going to wait 17 days for an item to ship. The other item was worse but it was sold by an Amazon vendor. I ordered a food vacuum sealer on December 8th and it said it was shipping on December 30th.
