If I recall correctly, the extremely low fees, many say ridiculously low, charged to graze cattle on public lands has been an issue for years. Many want the fees to be raised, but they'd still be a lot less then what it would cost to graze cattle on private lands. I don't have a personal position on this because I don't know enough about the issue, but I do know it's been a long standing controversy.
