I really enjoy the Narcos franchise. It's an easy way to get some get historical background context on the headlines of the day I didn't really follow. I wonder how many users contemplate the real cost of blood that their habit supports. It's a shame that the traditional use of coco leaves and the benefits it offers has been corrupted by greed.
As an unintentional consequence, it expanded my understanding and vocab of spanish profanity.
Cocaine Cowboys is similar but mostly on the docu side.
I grew up seeing this live. That's exactly how Miami was in the 80's.

I prefer the first one, because that's the one I remember. But I like the pilot versions because they are a bit longer. Bring back memories? ;-)
