Reporting is voluntary... the operator pays a fee to be tracked. Matador stopped reporting in 2006.

Thanks, Atticus

But I'll still bet that every FOHF operator worldwide has the story down cold.

Call Octane. I am sure they're not talking.

let's hope vic is alive and kicking.

last thing i wish on my adversary fella trader is to experience fatal losses terminal to his career... something all too familiar that can and has lead to as much terminal consequences for human life itself, hitting too close to home for my own comfort.

regardless i have to admit i still envy dave for having such a personality as good friend of his...would really enjoy meeting vic and would certainly seek to get to know him as much as i can.

hope all his well
best of the best for vic

Quote from Thunderdog:

Frankly, I doubt very much that you often turn down review requests as you say you do. The fact that you praised Covel's book and then turned around and said it was full of shit ("fatally flawed") tells me that you will attach your name to anything that moves. Or doesn't. I defy you to give me the name of one published book that you refused to review after being asked to do so. And what's wrong with disclosing such information anyway? Are you a legitimate book critic or a cheerleader/shill?

Further, I can't imagine how bad those books must have been for which you supposedly turned down review requests. Hell, you give glowing reviews for "fatally flawed" books! If you could extend your "professional courtesy" to the authors of "fatally flawed" books, then one can only imagine what you flatly refuse to endorse. The mind boggles.

H.L. Menckin would be proud of you, Thunderdog. You are a curmudgeon of the finest order. I normally don't respond to curmudgeon like observations, but I will, against my better judgement.

one can like a book, enjoy a book, appreciate a book's style, think a book is well written and entertaining--- yet, disagree with it's premise. Other than just being difficult, what is it that you don't understand?

Once again, I am certainly not going to name any book that i didn't think deserved a review. Not sure why you are insisting that I do--- its not proper form, is counter-productive and proves nothing---plain and simple.

hedge funds are private investment vehicles. the ONLY reason they report to anyone is as a capital raising tool. once goal is hit for capital, reporting serves no purpose.... and can actually be counter-productive in certain circumstances.
