... The short term count appears to be a 1-2 down from the SPX 1440 high, and now a lesser i-ii (part of wave 3) into yesterdays highs. If this downtrend continues to follow the previous ones, we're expecting a hard down either thursday/friday.

My guess on the jobs number tomorrow is it will be an outsized number. The last three have all had losses of jobs of around the same amount near the predicted target... the market's frenetic feel right now makes me think it's going to be a big number but which way? ~si
 
Oh Dear, an outsized number it is.... unemployment soars! Wow. And these numbers will be revised even worse... we are now full speed racing into recession.

What does that mean? - Not good for main street but what of wall street? I imagine after a bad open folks may begin to understand that the Fed cannot raise rates and he may even have to lower them (although I doubt he would do that) Will that be enough to save the market? Perhaps we have seen long stretches before when Wall Street walks out of step with main street... the difference this time may be the enormous amount of former wall streeters joining the common man in the street... as well as the number of McMansions that go into liquidation just like the average guys house... this pain, this credit crunch has the ability to affect everyone except professional athletes and that's scary.

What do you think of all this Mr. Dodge... and I'm not talking about your " Sell Signal " on NOG @ $10!~si
 
Ok we have cash we have a market ready to give deals what to buy if anything????

Lets try to put together a watch list here---

1> FMCN earthquake related bad earnings near uniformity group think by analysts rushing to defend say worst is over and Co was conservative looking out.... it's a thought.

2> Staying in China RCH is a REAL monster too hot for stoney if that can be.... but I watch this Chinese Architecture firm every day and I note they are moving June 9 to the nasdaq and RCH will become CAEI... They do walls and roofing and with earthquake damage I'm sure well reinforced structures are in high demand....

3> Forcing myself to stay in China XIN also does construction but they have been slowed down in the areas hit by the quake... stk has been held back despite huge numbers.

4> Woodword Gov is an interesting stock I played way back in the day... they now are moving into Wind I saw Kramer picked it up and of course the stock nosedived shortly after today they got neutral coverage no big deal but visits were made to some wind conference and the co seems to be on the right track.

5> AKNS I've had a hard time with this stock... my timing has been bad I've lost money only to see it roar back. I'm wary but I like it very much... new numbers from Ct when they have a dominant share show robust installations- 100 per month most of those AKNS roof panels.
Someone (Home Depot?) is going to buy this company.

6> LSB Industries I like they have a confusing symbol LXU Roth today with a buy and PT of $25... HVAC systems and such I have to re visit the research today I forget how but this is a Green company....

7> ITMN Intermune wacyovia likes them now, basing their research off some similar Japanese trial?? I have to do more work here but I have an source at wacyovia I'll ring him up and report later...

8> GPN Global payments our big cap pick for AFTER today has unfortunately raced up quite a bit after we began charting it... the coverage is not overwhelmingly positive by any means... and one would think money lending over the wires would we way down as well as at the retail terminal.... a strange situation but a strong looking stock.

Since then we have seen Condaliza really turn up the rhetoric a notch and we have even see the high Religious dude Komanie come out and speak openly on the nuclear program. they are worried and I'm getting some reports this morning from my eyes and ears in Israel that indeed a JOINT attack is in the planning.... Can Bush attack with oil so high? dangerous times kiddies. You will hear about a statistical anomaly regarding teenagers in or not in the workforce.... this would be Gov propaganda.

Who else is sick of carl Ichon and his " hard work" And did anyone see that sniveling yuppie Einhorny on TV yesterday trying to explain his short position while touching his face in lie strokes left and right and stammering that he could also talk about his buys and staring at a cheat sheet before Joe and the others showed him the door? Wow. Folks. You just can't give your money to these under 40 idiots. It may work for a while but ultimately you will wind up the way of the investor who bought into Sears at $140 as so many did.... ~ stoney

FMCN is crap. Buy MA or AAPL instead.
