need to get away from TDAm..any suggestions

J.P.: You indicate there are other discount brokerage firms with lower commissions than IB. Does this hold true for Stocks/Options, or are you referring primarily to Futures (or Forex)? If so, could you toss out a few suggestions there? Esp. ones that are *at least* as credible/reliable as IB (not the gold standard but better than others).
That article referred primarily to futures.

I was about to help you but the fact you use "i" lower case and start every sentence like that concerns me. You must be a kid. lol

So many kids play around with trading or their father's account.

AMTD is expensive for futures and they don't care to compete. Options is their main business.

Their charting is superior but frankly the CQG feed is more accurate and faster. They're good for swing trading or options and equities

Just check out a discount broker like AMP or Ninja or IB or Trade Station or . . . just go back to school and try this later in life after you've completed couple English classes. lol

i am somewhat still learning to trade futures.

I would like to move away from TDam (using thinkorswim platform) to another broker and platform. any suggestions?

at 7+ dollars for round trip its eating up my profits.

i want to mainly focus on futures (/es /ym /nq mostly)

i can continue to use TDAM for options or stocks if needed. but even those trades at $10 a pop (at least) is not helping profits.

i had used Tradestation but problem with them was that they never provided consolidated tax form which created headache as accountant or me had to do that.

i would trade 12-15 times a day.

please help!!

Regardless of whether or not you stay with TD Ameritrade or get another broker and continue to use TDA for options and stocks, keep in mind that you can call them and negotiate the commission. For 10 to 15 trades a day you should definitely be able to knock it down

If you will be using multiple brokers, you can use a single platform to access them, including quotes, charting and trading: Medved Trader
For example, can use Interactive Brokers for quotes on futures and TDA for stock/option quotes since the limit on # of symbols is much higher, and trade through to either one as needed.

And though I agree that changing brokers won't make you profitable, you still shouldn't leave money on the table. Even a $4 difference per trade at 15 per day will quickly add up to over $15K per year, so not something to be ignored.

Does Medved Trader work with thinkorswim?
