Need somewhere to think out loud,

Why do my first trades fail, why do I lost trust every time in method, to trade against it pretty much, before getting my shit straight and then all profits, from -$600 to +$150, I could be easily $1000+ here.

Doing the in profit +$200 wanting more and holding to loss again, other side of range, gets 2mins, if not broken out, I close it and walk away, ffs!! it's not rocket science.
 
I need to simplify more strangely, but also trade only with a longer trend.

Envelope 18sma 0.01%

Trade the 7's range, with the 18's direction simples.

Need more patience to wait for the right setups, trying to take all again, circles, circles circles
 
Dont wqnt sl to tight out to 7sma +/- 0.08% .


Patience 5o only takes trades where 18 and 7 lime up, will make me miss a lot of moves, but should give less losers and better confidence to hold for bigger profits.
 
Same old, first trade, didn't want to lose, averaged, dug in, got slapped hard, then profits profits profits and trading better, but not great.

Envelope 18sma 0.01% Mid point for main direction.

Envelope 18sma H+0.05% and L-0.05% Limit before trend is broken.

Envelope 4LWMA H+0.02% and L-0.02% Short term range to play with 18's direction.

SL is kept outside, back on auto move, need to more hands off and stop me doing stupid shit.

MM Logic, it's average downy larger SL also ES only NQ is too lively and spikey and hitty SL for no reason costly. ( UK100 ? maybe )

So max size $40 per point currently, first position $20 as good odds it'll move on it's own, then 1 or 2 other positions nearer the range but $10 positions.

Otherwise, price takes off $10 only and barely worth it.

Min SL is 3pts aswell, which means bottom plays are okay that'll self tighten when back in range quickly.

Needs to be slower and to make this work I need to hold for bigger PT moves, ie longer.

Going up, stalling upper 4 just hit SL before rocketing, annoying. Joining Low's would of been okay mind.

worked, few SL hits needlessly 3 or 4 guess have to live with that, might have to loosen SL.

Live Demo for a bit tomorrow and see how it goes, looks promising.
 
Lets bang out some like loads of demo trades, with no real intention of sticking to the plan, just to try to unlearn the bad mistakes.

Long UK100, 4's showing stalling, 18 is flat.

Auto SL is on and not going to move it, it's tightened up 2pts already, fail safely is the main mission, learn to fail safely rather than dig myself in a hole.
 
Failed no upside most of the time cause the 18sma is going to kick it down, most of the time.

Bad trades, will lose, but small, that's the goal of today, fail safe and small.

18 down, start building a down position, going well NOT so far!! LOL

avg 5755, SL hit, trend changed, 4 powered it through, previous 4 based entry +10pts here, typical.

-$150 too much of a loss for me.

FIX IT!!!

Speed up the 18sma to 12sma, then it became a support range long 5753 to 5761 with a tight 4pt SL.

Better or worse earlier on... Similar, good low range stalls to trade with tight SL's when back in range.

Long 5757, low 4 SL 53 so acceptable risk level.

4s down, 12 is flat to down, under the 12, lets see if 12 range that holds most of the time, gets chop back to top 12 @62.

Object, jump on big swings, sadly I missed those earlier, so in and hoping for a trend move like 30pts, but yeah, practicing marginal markets till then,
 
4 Low cusped and up we go to upper 4,totally worth it LOL

12's down, upper 4 was my short place, but I'm long so arrgghhh, can't jump ship and reverse every 2mins with +1pt profit LOL

SL hit, so yeah in this case, would ofcourse been better.

12's key, pull in 12's range 0.02% and 0.03% tighten SL to match reduce exposure.

LOL 12's down and I went long, which is already at 12's high range LOL, literally useless at times. SL hit obviously!!
