BB 10sma 2.2Dev
Envelope 10sma 0.02

Envelope 24Ema 0.01

24Ema gives direction, then trade the 10 BB or Envelope range with that direction.
 
Nearly got back to BE on the day and YM trade costs me 20pts arseeeee.


Dont believe in luck and it hates, every trade i watch works and every trade i play fails.
 
BB 10 2.2 is good.

Envelope 16sma 0.01 is a better directional line.

Trade the BB range with the 16's direction, working great.

Need to work on getting out with less cost, so need to get in nearer BB edge and SL out without too much of a break out from BB range as those generally continue.

Had enough today, back on it tomorrow, working the issue as always, till sorted!! :)

The default on BB's are 20. This is because they work better when you give them room, otherwise you get mixed signals. I find that If BB's are decreased to 10 than your better of just using a single moving average. But the same story is with a tight value on ema, mixed signals at best on the 1mn especially when in chop during early hours when volume is low.

So got to figure out a plan to keep losses small.#

Looking like just set a fixed 7+Spread for DAX and 10+spread for YM. Force myselt to make a tight Range entry.

Also changing my autostop code, so it puts in a 14 and 20 TP, I can extend it obvs, but when I'm wrong side I can set a exit easily, rather than hover over button, miss it then end up 20pts down LOL

Try again tomorrow!!

20 2.0 nice range at times, but too slow to adapt, if 10 2.2 range fails odds are it'll break 20 2.0 I found which can be some pts away which makes for a bigger loss.

Then it all gets confused and goes strange.

95% sure this will work ( ignoring my uselessness, back tested a few days nice ), just got to be more efficient so not getting slipped 4pts on entry then having a tighter SL that gets slapped for instance.

Tricky live, the don't want to miss a trade take it, then it goes lower, might move to limit orders then slide the price up and get a good price rather than shite price like I normally get.

So set limit order out of the way, then screen move it rather than miss entry and waste $$$'s every damn time.

There is a reason it gets confused, sometimes Algo's and sometimes volume and time of day, but its not a perfect approach for sure, BB's are random at best.

During break outs using limit orders you may miss moves and incorrectly gauge entries. Getting good buys and sell requires stepping in front of the bus and exciting when it goes thru a fixed value. This takes mental strength and a strong gut.

Writing your thoughts down (On paper) during your trials and tribulations, than reviewing your notes later, this pays off over time, but this adds another layer of to do's to your list. In my mind Its a necessary evil.

BBs pretty good 80% ranges called.

Stepping Infront of bus is where I'm failing so limit order outter BB range let it come to me or not.

Paper lol i write them here obvs!

$1 per pt retraining mode still so losses under 50pts per day = dont care thankfully
 
Sim trade, create entry line, in if entry hits bars after which removes the bar cheat advantage, then same with the exit side.

DAX 9th Dec 9:30am start.........

Lost interest, scrolled through a few days, wait for 16 direction, play the BB range with direction and 75% profit.

Efficency is my issue, making good trades, but my entry is so poor there isn't enough upside then I get stuck in and end up with a loss, too many times.
 
Need results soon or it'll be job hunting time :(

Still testing, tried a few different settings, this looks optimal today and a month back.

Tried the Order Line in pretend mode, impressive how no trades are taken, so guess I'm stuck with market order, 1 click entry, just got to do better, not hesitate then pay 4pts more just as it stalls and reverses on me, prefer to take +2 then get hit for -10 every damn time.

Got to be really strict on 16sma's direction, if 16 turns against me, it's EXIT ASAP time, no more, waiting and hoping it'll turn like it does every damn time I place a trade, because it just won't annoyingly, until the SL's hit then instant turn.

The Universe hates me, obviously I'm over thinking and buying in after the trend change but early stages ie to much of a pull back :(
