Turveyd, why do you trade USDJPY most of time?
I think euro is more predictable though...
Depends if your after, Chop or Trend, UJ trends more, chops less and vice versa.
M5 method scrub.......... ofcourse back to M1.
But learning from the M5 experiment ( although account down but hey )
So back to M1, back to 18sma + MAE 18 0.03% & 0.06%
But slower, had it's place, trying to keep a bit of that so also 45sma MAE 45 0.04%.
Take the 18 plays, with the 45's direction only pretty much, using the 45's range to exit SL wise.
Simples!!!

Main issue, is get Direction of Down say, then by the time I get enough of a pull back to keep the SL low, that's a change of direction.
MAE 16 0.01% and 0.04% looks interesting, and a MAE 3 0.01% for the immediate direction to.
The 0.01 is my entry area, rather than waiting to go out to 0.04%, my best trades of recent, have just been when I jump on direction early on.
Outter range is pretty valid, it's simple, give it a shot tomorrows!!

M5 had a good start, suites certain market conditions, today perfectly annoyingly, but got to watch full time to spot the very few entries, gets kinda boring, despite more entries from newer method.
Ever changing market conditions, makes this game, damn near impossible, so started messing with a more basic method more PA based ( not talking candle sticks here )
So, what over the years works, bolt some together and see how it goes.
Method :-
MAE 20sma 0.04%, very strong range / direction, play both, abort if direction changes on me mid trade, SL on a break out against me ofcourse.
10sma MAE 10 0.02%, range within the 20 range, basically the 20 is too wide, so when 10 and 20 direction line up, say upward then take a position near the 10's low ish area
PA wise, look for normal double bottoms, actually had a different plan all day I've been watching, but looked weak except for today so spotted this.
Tests great on the 20 or so random UJ days I've tried.
GU less days, but look okay!!!
I NEED BRAIN SWITCHED on 100%, I need to be reading the tape, thinking and planning, the method will only keep me vaguely on track, IF I follow it ofcourse.
