Need somewhere to think out loud,

-$160 on the day I think, not checked, had a trade turn against me, standard just getting profitable looking good, but trend against then perfect method turn back on new trend ( Distracted aswell, Kids fighting )

Saw +$80 on it aswell, last week I was sharper I'd of took that, this week I'm trying to gun for big profits every trade.

Other errors.......

I'm chasing, I'm trying to get the 3rd up move for a continue of down as the other 2 worked.
Market is moving outside of the 0.02 in trend mode and I'm not thinking new direction, flip sides.
Obviously holding to long after a trend change.

Rule #1 trade the trend only.
Rule #2 When the trend changes, get out QUICK.
Rule #3 Try to let the market run my way, like i let it run against me, brings the risk to reward to a better footing then :)

Mondays, brain not working, tired, broken and distracted.

Right still not happy with method performance, the 0.04% which is already into counter trend, I play too often for chop and get into a counter trend situation, which I'd prefer the lessen ofcourse.

13sma based is still fine, I like the 18sma used as a cross for trend, it's more mechanical.

Okay, this started off, just changing to just 13sma 0.03% MAE but yeah see something better!! :)

Changed again in the last 5mins LOL

This is cleaner and stronger........

Change to 21sma + MAE 21sma 0.02% and 0.04%, dumped the 13sma cross, back to eyeballing for the time being.

A move outside of the range, looks more KILL IT WITH FIRE which is what I needs!!

Better do some back testing, via F12 ( single bar move )
 
just trading UJ and GU aswell, DAX I don't like the stop start nature, EJ's kinda weak these days, obviously I'll change to what's hot or not at the time, and USD is HOT!!

UJ 9am gmt ( I think ) start..

21 down, where to join too slow 114.60 0.02% turned back down to 114.50.
Going up, 21 down, strong up there, wait at 0.02, hmmm short 58 sees 54 then turns up LOL small loss there. -6

21 up, long 57 got to just risk it, hesitate = fail! Exit 66 +9

Looks promising, changeable markets are ofcourse and issue, but look easier to cap losers sooner, maybe!!

Give it a try at work tomorrrow :)
 
China is expecting and preparing aleady for a war against the USA seriously cause of Trump!!

There defensive troop deployment would suggest they fear USA joining forces with Russia though ?? interesting times!!
 
Method dev wise, added a MAE 4sma 0.02 to the mix, plan to stop catching falling knives.

Methods great, slower more consistent in the am, market has gone nuts Trump murdering the USD no doubt, too nuts for my likings.

8 based works great, but dont want to adapt on the fly that much really.

Waiting for calm :(
 
8 is working great today, 21 yesterday looks like the number is 8-21 threfore I have to constantly adapt to how the market has recently been operating.

More work, 30min assesment and curve fit and the range :(
