I been on diet from hell, and I made it up, I figured it took me couple of years to put on the weight and twice as long to take off. Some weeks I lose too much and have to slow down losing and eat more of low cal veggies, but have to watch type of veggies as I am on blood thinners. Twice in three years got almost too thin and ran for vitamin K shot to thicken up. Am trying to not lose more than two pounds a week. I been almost eating the exact same foods each week, only thing I do is mix up order, 900 calories a day, you get to be after awhile you forget to eat and have to have alarms to force myself to eat, otherwise body goes into starvation mode and you lose muscle instead of fat. Once in while have slice of pizza and very cool next day lose weight as the body needed what was in that sllce, I take plenty of vitamins. And weekly doctor visit and weigh in. If I can lose weight, anyone can, it is like trading, you reach a time where you just start to do right, it is the harder way to trade, boring as hell, and you pretty much knew why you been losing.
OMG, other womens' kids, way I look at it, I might lose furniture/clothes from moving out, but they have those kids rest of their lives, adult children are by far the worst. They have kids and want to drop them off and vanish for six months, I didn't sign up for that, I leave. No more moving in nor want them to move in with me. Get them at least 1000 miles away and fly them in for long weekends and then they leave. They get to go and do fun things for them and me, then my life gets back to what I am use to when they leave. When they start talking about moving here, bye bye. I am very honest upfront, but almost all women think they can change men.
