Just traded BB with trend in Dax during night as was busy in Euro. Was waiting just before reports in USA for ES trading. Tight range but does not mean you can't grind it out. I more than made my 6-7 points for the day and ended 30 minutes after day session open. Green arrow are looking for retracement and just getting in on next bars extremes with trend, Cyan retrace to 18, I love chart patterns Triple extremes or double tight clustered highs/lows, BB with trend, rev bars with vol. Not really hard to make brain think signals, just back test at least 3000 sample size each signal so you breath the signals. TaDa

Doing okay so far, all small scalps +$180 ish, 8 positions*, no losers, infact no losers in 14 positions which is cool.
* I avg down once, upto 2 positions pe trade.
I need to crack getting in on and actually be around for strong momo, get some nice 20-30pt moves quickly.

Ran out of big projects, time to trade but going to need to take $1000 out end of May, making 2 or 3k by then is the goal.

but going to need to take $1000 out end of May, making 2 or 3k by then is the goal.Yeah, when you get LOSING percentages under 8%, you can then back test at how well you do averaging down. I have cut back levels of ave down, but I have increased size to equal out, so I do minus' 1, 2, 3, 5 so if all get filled, I have 5 levels of prices and beauty of it all, if time to lock in one tick, breakeven plus one tick trades is only for original entry and rest I get plus 2, 3, 4, 6, so breakeven plus one tick trades for me is very profitable, so me getting sixteen plus one tick trades from the outside is crappy day, I usually do very well.
I did play with setting multiple orders to average in, issues being......
1. Get 1 position filled profit is small.
2. Get all positions filled, but it's a fast move without you, then loss is wayyy bigger than the 1 position fill.
Been studying history, accounts going the right way, but not enough to compensate for the next trade which runs badly against me and gives 20trades back in 15mins.
Although, times I'm trading, the profit is most of the time, all that is on offer, I need to start trading while there is Momo ( part never around, part wussing I guess ), then I get 20-30pt moves, which is about worst case on a bad move against me.
I'm not doing a Bush and claiming victory, until I've cracked Momo Trades, method calls it well, so not really a concern.
Don't expect to trade Friday via phone if so, going to ride to work ( all being well ) so no ipad
and no point losing my profits on a friday LOL yeah I can't take a months worth of hits, especially as I don't trade that well and it'll happen sometimes 2 trades in a row, buying counter trend and holding.
No big single losers since margin reduction, but still some multiple trade hits, normally, it's going down, hit SL, think NOOOO, get more and repeat, not done that in a while LOL
That's why I have to be very strict with, hang on this trend is against me, or turned against me, okay lets just walk away here, ram a tight SL to new lows, rather than dig in and ruin the account.
