Need somewhere to think out loud,

Still 14:0 not 100% sure how come my success has gone wild, about +$500 or 8% on the week +$600 amd 10% ish on the latest method.

Not 100% sure, why my trading is doing so well and effortlessly, maybe my brains finally worked it out, subconsciously, or maybe the market conditions just suite me, slow and choppy, summer doldrums maybe ??

Actually using the system, rather than wussing the system due to doubt then taking some stupid suicidal trade to revenge the missed trade, is another option.

10% per week, part time taking it easy, puts me at 100K area inside of 6months, awesome!

Must not trade Friday pm ( more account blows than any other time LOL )
 
Yes it was this time last year when I was clearing $1000 per week and went from 5K to 10K in approx 5 weeks, then blew 3K in 45mins averaging upto near my 200:1 limit.

Long term, method still looks sound, but at the moment I'm just playing the 17 range pretty much, nothing is really moving enough to create a 20SL loss in 1 move atleast.

Hence, the NO Losers and got 6weeks to milk this I guess!!

Still I'm better at trading with the Trend, so here is hoping I can pull this off in faster market conditions.

Other option is, I stay out of the noise zone SL wise, so SL upto 30 or 40, reduce Lot size accordingly, look for 2nd entry -20 area, maybe go upto a 3 entry system, adapt to the increased range basically.

Market would be moving more, so similar profits and similar risk cost.

Defo worth considering, SL size adaptation, rather than trying to adapt Method to work in a different condition.

Planning a 56mile road ride, out into the country side and back maybe, but that tired, I LITERALLY, starting falling asleep in the Chip Shop just then in Tesco's, 30min power nap maybe ??

A loser, caught a trend change, too soon on 2nd position, was looking to bail got disturbed as at client - 50 out, git SLd - 150 area.

No biggy, not beating my 17 streak this time lol
 
Ecccks, that was a strong move I got in on the wrong side at the top of wemt down 200+ pips, ecccks pretty much without looking back.

Method, screamed down momo shorts only, so all would of worked fine in theory!!

Kids for 2 days, should be able to trade while they get ran over or something :)
 
Must resist the urge to change anything, tighter on the SL is the main 1, lose less bla bla bla, no it works, it was just 1 trade where the direction changed on me.

It was a tad bit of a why not, was busy saw it, traded out of stress really.

I AM NOT MESSING WITH METHOD, ONLY MY IMPLEMENTION OF IT!!

So method, logic!

Basically the larger SL and 2nd position are enough to get most trades in chop / direction with ( ofcourse ) into profit, hence 14 profits in a row! COOL!!! My Range is good enough to give me a sizeable edge here! :)

As soon as I get direction, against me, then it's time to BAIL, do not take 2nd position, do not pass go!

Direction with me, then I've got to HOLD!

As average market move size increases then my SL will need to increase, for a average after the fact entry to turn positive.

I can not do above live, so the logic of what's good today, is likely good tomorrow, 20 worked today so 20 stays, if we need 30 tomorrow then Thursday will be setup for 30 or 25 or more if needs be. assess previous day before trading, if needs be!

Need to setup if 30 for 3 positions, if 40 for 4 positions, same over all loss, will calculate lot sizes for both to keep loss @$150 at current lot sizes...

Increasing size to $6, so $180 loss here for 20SL, 30SL $3 loss $180, 40SL ( not often I hope / ever ) $2 $200, easy enough to remember!

Any attempt at timing market Momo turns is FUTILE, I shall not waste time on that path again.

Range and only medium term ( 17sma ) and short term ( 7 sma ) are all that is valid!

IF I keep doing well, might add my reserve in, get lot size back to $10 per pip then beyond quicker!

Lost 90 on EJ, SL was close, set a cheaper TP exit, and SL wouldnt of hit typical.


Trading out of desperation, rather than waiting patiently for a good setup.

Lack of time sucks, kids to settle then get it back maybe.
 
Trading poorly today tis all me i admit, too much faith in 17 range and direction, GA was obviously selling off wait for 7 to go flat fool.

Trading tired broken and stupid, got to work through it sadly.

Made 60 on ga earlier so - 90 of i close here.
