Need somewhere to think out loud,

DAX by the numbers today, till 12:30 ish GMT, remember automatic 10 SL in effect on all trades.


1. took this trade live +13, should been +23 but hey, too worried it'll snap back, 42 green was going up, 11's momentum had a pull back then flattened out, bought low on the 11. 42 back in play up she shot, 7 mins not bad money :)

2. another bad in a uptrend, didn't go far, lack of far is a sign of things to come.

3, 42 turned down, short at the top of the 11 and hey presto, profits.

4. older style trade, but still valid with a tight SL and reward is good down there.

5. 42 and 11 uptrending, buy low of 11, break out and back into range triggers sell near the 6.

6. back in range, top of 11, 11 flat, double top aswell, quick 15pip retrace.

7. finding support, up we go for 20ips.

I did spot most of these live, then got dragged off to work :( and had no chance, but alas, it's STRONG and it's SIMPLE AS SIMPLE, zero stress, shouldn't burn me out and make me blow the account :)

Rules are simple enough, should be able to sim trades, exits are always hard to judge after the fact, so I'll give it a Pts profit Max score ( that I think I'd take, not how far it goes in the end ), SL's are 11 with spread.

First up/down is the 42, 2nd is the 11's status.

1. up / flat after run up, Long +13 ( Actual ) went 20.
2. up, flat, short +8 ( no SL for ages )
3. Up, flat, long +9 ( no SL for ages )
4. Up, flat, Long, +2 tops.
5. Down, Down, Short +15 ( NSLFA)
6. Down, Down, Long, Lower range play +12 ( NSL )
7, Up, Up, Trend entry +25 required a long hold, but double trend, that's the milk ticket.
8. Up, Flat, short top of 11 quick +10 ( NSL )


Basically, pretty much every trade you'd play if 11 flat, if you go long at the low odds are it'll hit the high, just from noise, then you've just got to decide to bank it and repeat or market conditions warrant holding longer.

Basically get in the game, a lot of times, then manage the trade from there, if you wait you'll miss it, just got to do it and keep doing it.

This needs to become 2nd nature, sitting here bored like any job, tapping on my touch screens, not really caring and just making loads of pts :)

Not getting to bored and wandering off doing something else is then the issue, been there done that LOL
 
Good job I missed that huge move on the dax playing the old average down day would just wiped me out pretty much in 1 quick move.

Played it uptrend and nice profits.

Just watching today 5 kids to look after and been up since 6:30am nasty
 
Liking the method a lot made 6 pts so far too many distractions with 5 kids.

It's a sensible entry with a good chance of making a few pips atleast, then it's just a matter of managing the trade. Holding for more or holding for more depending on the action.

Getting there still

In using methods I've tried and failed with before, it's the experience which counts no way to teach that

Not working tomorrow, Trading going to Priority #1, work can fit in around and I haven't hit my 100pip target yet this week, 65 approx at the moment, 35 short, although profits not far off due to extra 25% I put on the lot size.

Today was tricky, although some good setups, range worked great.

2 breaches really, last 1, going back inside the 11, meant it was safe to play the 11 range. back up some nice pips.

1 before, well errrm trading like a twat would of been an account averaged down killed , no way I'd of stuck out to a 9200 low and exited right, I'd of had 6 positions and likely margin called, 5K down in all honesty.

This is why, new method on the entry side and SL side,using the 11, eliminate the risk of that and I'm consistent and back tests on the DAX going back 18months I think I can do, I have zero issues with this being a short term method, obviously I have to remain flexible but i'm doing that anyway so :)

Currently, I'm good enough to make money, but not good enough to not lose 50% of account in 30mins, yes I've grown a small account into a okay account taking such risks, but it's time to kill the risk!! Without taking such risks I'd be wayyyyy lower maybe BE still like i've been for 3years previously.

Trading on a friday, never goes well :)

Quick range trade there and finally over $10,000 baby!!

$10,045 but hey it's over, I think I should walk away and not screw it up atleast until next week!!

$1059 profit this week, 13 profits, 3 losers and only 1 STUPID trade that nearly wipes me out in 30mins or less LOL, role on no more of those, leave my emotions far far below!!
 
Ha Ha market thought I wasn't around, the next lower range trade, dropped out of 11sma Envelope spec, so no trade as momentum is too strong down, wait till it goes back in or at the low when it flattens out, just saved my ASS from a 70pip drop, madness and still going!!
 
Should of gotten back in, when it went back into spec could of made some nice $$$$'s

No trades out of ranges including 11sma's range, saved me today, over 10K back to 6K almost LOL

Don't trade when it's crazy and 10SL if it goes crazy on me, even 2 positions in, no real sweat!!

Must try harder, think I clocked 4 hours, imagine if I put in 4 hours per day.

Weekend sleep, Monday kids :( Tuesday might be work, rest of the week free!!
