Pretty good most of the day, depends on how your trading it, Range or Momentum, late UK afternoon is better for range, first 2 hours and after US open better for momentum.

I do both, I've combined them :)

While US Session is on, watch US30 / YM, I'm finding that's started the turn then DAX follows it, yes it's kinda cheating :)

US30 starts going the wrong way, exit!!
 
To upgrade my Lot size 25%, so $13.00 area as I'm just over $10 currently ( Spot can use any size )


Been trading the same since 5K well virtually, 8.6K here so sounds a reasonible increase, reducing risk.

Then $20 when 10K+!!

License to print money, or lose it :)
 
Took a hit this AM on DAX, counting on 100ema to hold bad move, downtrended on the 26 nicely or badly in this case, ironically hit the SL pip perfect and reversed enough to give me my soft exit, tight SL's don't work lesson 2.

Lost 33pips, so not that bad, but most of yesterdays profits :(

I then traded the lower range at 9118 ( bad entry ) then 9112 ( good )

Failed to exit first time it ran into range line, but got lucky and had a 2nd strike, exit 9128 + 10 +16 = +26

-7 on the day.


100ema ranges work GREAT and there easy to trade, 26, when it's steep don't counter trend it. LOL

Suspect I was 1/2 asleep, get back the 7 and more later hopefully!!

Here is my chart for the day, I specialize in basically playing the ranges in white, see how it chopped from the 1 side of the inner white to the other.

Then it found support on the 100ema middle white, before rocketing higher.


Last week it was only moving between the envelopes, then break outs and madness and spikes come and ruin my easy $$$ making plan LOL 17 profits in a row before volatility came back :(


Stayed out so far, had to work :( clients hassling me :(
 
So basically playing medium extremes. That is how I trade too.

Still trade on the side :( Programmer is main self employeed, but flipping that the other way soon, then stopping the programming at some stage, unless it's something interesting.

Likely get bored / go mad just trading I guess!
 
What a move, work finished, want my 7 pips back ( there goes the account LOL )

I do not like trading on strong days like today, I simply can't think quick enough.

Here is a close up chart of todays fast action, it's moving down with the 26 staying in the 26's range, so short near the upper 26 in yellow, SL danger tight just outside worked on those!!

I am not at all used to days like today, used to chop, but need to be able to profit from days like today potential is HUGE!!

White arrows added for where to short.
