Need somewhere to think out loud,

Back to 4lwma mid and high and low +0.02% and a 8sma lwma to trade against.

NQs been good 2trades back to +$120 on the day, nice strong jump on trends. Just got to plow on screw ups are quickly erased thankfully :)



Method still good, just dumb luck earlier and slipping SLs badly, might have to reconsider using with dax.
 
Built more up on the method, to 1 trick with just the 4LWMA.

Main Focus is that, it's big and it's White and it's strong.

Then a

4LWMA + H and L +0.02%

10LWMA H and L + 0.05% + Envelope 10lwma 0.01%

They've all got there merit, they've all been testing they both

SL moved out to beyond the 10, racked off with SL hits for no reason, go bigger, make up for with improved win rate, although I'll micro manage myself, that's just a starting SL.

I've also realised, my first 2 - 3 Trade SUCK, then I make it back, I'd be near +$500 today if not for having to make back the $340 I lost in the first 20mins :(

So, switch it Demo, bang a few trades out till profitable trade, then back to Live is the new rule, lose demo money, make real money, get in tune with the market, / get ass kicked then humbled.

Or Demo currently, -$200 so glad I did that, long day, TIRED !!

Still got to get head around, direction is about to change, don't treat as range.

Auto SL off, manage myself :(

I know whats gone wrong, other than being stupid ffs.

1. The Shift set at 1 charts dont fit dont dee the entry till to late.

2. Went back to trading trend all the time, fine with NQ early as just trend when chop I'm screwed.

Setup...

3LWMA high and low shift 0
Envelope 10lwma 0.04. High and low.

Trade 1 I saw as pull back with trend, this setup its a range coming off high and break down of 3 no way go long

Trade 2, short when up, 10 range okay, spike and reverse took SL.

Trade 3 shorted thinking vaguely breakdown bottom of 10s range lol

Profits still worked. Easier to join mid move, tight SL

I can see again :)

Must read this sunday , 10 subject to tweak 3 not.
 
New Plan testing well, why do I always crack something Friday, 2 days of bored till I get to test it live!!

Back to 2 account idea, 1 account SL runs just outside the 3 high and the 3 Low, other account chop runs outside the 10's boundry.

Have 2 x MT4 accounts open on PC to check for trades, only takes a few seconds to switch accounts on the tablet, to suite conditions.

Not far off +$1000 this week, NQ Trend kicking in saved me, more of a chop week I'd of been killed no doubt.

TIRED and STRESSED and defo need weekend on bikes!!
 
Came to the conclusion, I'm addicted to those runs where I make $400 in a few mins, that's why I'm trading every trade like it'll run and getting SL'd to death, if not for the few runs due to crazy market that putting me back into profit.

Got to crack that, before the big swings stop then I'm just a loser LOL

New method has it covered, so confidence his high I'll solve it and improve in time.

Skipping through the 10 E H and L + 0.04 is STRONG like very strong.

Rules, which if I stick to I should do beyond great..................

1. Always Trade the Direction of the 10's outter lines.
2. No more swinging for the Fend, take thy profit and repeat, if it starts turning against me, EXIT!!
3. SL outside the the 10's range but if a confirmed 5lwma then under that.
4. Entry Preferably near the 10's range, or join existing Trend move via 5's logic.
5. No more breakout entries too many of them fail, wait for a pull back to low 5 and run a tight SL.
 
I have limited trust live in that tight 5lwma High and Low so simplifying.

10LWMA only, High and a a Low, then Envelope adding 0.04% to either side.

10 High and low are strong, wait for a direction to form then enter near the Low if upward and vice verse.

If there is limited direction, then play the outter +0.04% ranges.

NQ just pulled back twice to low +0.04% and move off nicely.

Few Sim trades, BE really, but Spread costs excessive.

Try Demo tomorrow, then when trading well, role back to Live!! simples.
 
Demo sess to warm up, 4 second delay on orders is annoying, hopefully just Demo Lag.

D trade 1 +$90.

So 2 market types, Directional and Chop.

Directional, trade of the 4 H/L and the 12 H/L, breaking outside indicates directional change, so in this market type run SL outside the 12.

Chop, where the 12 is going sideways then the 4 is to be ignored pretty much and play the extended 12 +0.06%

Demo trade 1, ran 30pts, 1 tiny 2 pts under the 12L to fake a reversal / hit SL other than that straight cool running.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!
