Need somewhere to think out loud,

+$260 ish here, some nice with trend scalping, get in, goes my way, not letting it get back to a loss in short, not the first stall and exit but definately if it starts moving against me.

GA's a good trender for longer holds, trend changed on me earlier but can't hold it against it.

Increasing lot sizes, doesn't seem worth my time LOL so $25.80 on DAX x 2 and upto $10 on GA.

Mainly cause today is slow and I'm catching a lot of 3 or 4 pips moves, never going to get anywhere at that pace.
 
Adding a 200SMA to my method, it's calling quite a few things nicely today.

Closed Negative today, not by much, caught shorted the first turn up doh!!, was in town and not paying that much attention, shorter 35 then 42 got to 0.5pips of BE about to exit and BANG up she goes to SL, it was a break over the 100 and 200 and 11 in an up channel so STUPID TRADE they happen, carry on as planned.

Had to go out so couldn't get it back, didn't move SL and keep making situation worse so all fine.
 
Quick Summary!!

DAX, nice 100ema and 200sma reversals all am well to 2 ish.

Then my losing trade, all the signs where there, so my bad, why I didn't close at -0.5 avg -bugger all doh!!

Buying long on the 0.03% ( wasn't only meant to trade GA but year ), netted nice pips on the move up.

Tricky reversal, back to 200sma support, multiple moves from there long on pull backs.

Slow period, then 100 turns sub 200 nicely ( coincidence ? need more testing, quick look looks promising ), nice down move on the slow periods support failing.

Loads of chances to make some regular safe scalps, not many places to get a hit, NICE!!
 
GPDAUD was the star of the day, that uptrend just kept going and going and yes going.

Problem is, no way I can hold that long, hasn't got the quick range of the DAX to profit from and the tiny spread.
 
Work today, so I'll have a watching day, didn't have the 200sma on the Ipad without it looked tricky to call the action, with became much clearer.

Kinda slow currently, 11 is calling a downward bias so far, Stalling at +0.03% then reversing to a lower low, seems to be the call, very thin though.

My error yesterday was, moved the SL and took a 2nd position, need to play this more scalpy, I'm either right or I'm out pretty quick and cheap.

Shorting 9747 would be my call, SL 9757 ( but bail before that's hit if needs be )

Got to stop 2nd positions aswell I think, that's whats making me move the SL, just trade at twice lot size and skip that I guess.

Meeting till 1, find somewhere peaceful and trade US open most likely! :)
 
Typical, watched all am, Tiny range and no direction, have to go out and loads of 100ema reversals and strong GA trend typical.

Working in a hole with no signal at all for the next 2 days so no chance

Like how I've become a with trend trader quickly after years of working on that so all is good :)
 
11sma isn't really working today at all, action is too slow.

21ema based, stall near the outter Envelope, or jump on trend via the inner might be the way to go for today atleast. If 100 trending then play direction of 100ema only.


Directionless sucks in short, but need to make $$$'s virtually every day!
 
24sma is looking perfect, ranges being tested more and clearer short term direction and breaks out of range are meaningful.

Yes this is pretty much back to old 26range, so all i have kept is the 100ema logic but that kicked ass today so all good.

Adding EurJpy into the mix, tighter spread, choppier than GA with a useable 20pip range today, GA doesnt give many pull backs to get in on.


Anyway work in a data less hole so no trading for me :(
 
Method is looking well great, maybe it was just a better day, but 24sma envelope looks better for general day to day useage.

MUST STOP MESSING!!!
