Hello,

I'm a business journalist for Trombly Ltd., a news bureau based in Shanghai, China. Can anyone provide me information about the commonly used hardware for online trading?

The purpose of this article is to explain to the readers what are the basic technological requirements they need in order to trade efficiently at home. I'd highly appreciate it if you can provide me information on the following:

-minimum computer system and memory requirements
-firewall? -anti-virus software?
-back up power system - what is out there in the market - cost?
-security issue - e.g. avoid identity theft
(esp. if one is using a wireless laptop)
-instructions to set up 2 monitors (most active traders use more
than one monitor)
-other trading station - computer compatibility issues
-smart phones for wireless trading

It shouldn't be too difficult given how high the quality of content is on this Hardware Forum.
