Home Recovery Surviving my Daughterâs Cancer
Surviving my Daughterâs Cancer
Published on June 1, 2012, by admin in Recovery.
I was born in Mexico and have always worked as a nanny or housekeeper. Several years ago, I began working for Lynda and Bob Kalan, who drink wheatgrass juice and eat sprouts and raw vegetables.
Around that same time, my brother, a truck driver in Mexico, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was going to start regular medical treatment, but by a stroke of luck, he mentioned his condition to a waitress who told him to speak to a doctor down the street. He saw the doctor who created some kind of green drink for him and told him to only eat green vegetables. Within a few months, my brotherâs health improved significantlyWhen Lynda suggested that I start drinking wheatgrass juice and eating what she and Bob ate, I decided to give it a try Why not? After all, my brother got better with his new diet. Within two weeks I started feeling a lot better.
Meanwhile, in Mexico, my youngest daughter Barbara was going through a very difficult time. Her nose and gums were bleeding, she was losing her hair and her period stopped. She was getting weaker and weaker and had to quit school. Her doctors diagnosed her with advanced anemia and informed her that she had two typhoid viruses. Unfortunately her health continued to decline. She then changed doctors, who diagnosed her as having Hyperthyroidism with an enlarged and highly toxic goiter. After a detailed analysis and laboratory exams, however, they found a small but malignant tumor. They began giving her radiation treatments, but there was no change in the tumor. After two treatments, she was even weaker and eventually became bed bound. I had to go back to Mexico and help my daughter. I left Lynda and Bob and took two books, Living Foods for Optimum Health and Survival into the 21st Century as well as the knowledge that Lynda had shared with me. I took my daughter to my friendâs hut out in the desert. We had a roof over our heads with two walls to support it; every morning I had to sprinkle water on the dirt floor to keep the dust down. There was a trailer next to the house with a small refrigerator and a two-burner propane stove. I did not have the money to buy good soil or pure water, so I used desert soil and the running Mexican water to start my garden. I grew wheatgrass, sunflower, pea greens and about ten other varieties of sprouts. I encouraged my daughter to refuse the third radiation treatment and stay with our daily routine of juices, salads, rest periods, massages, skin brushing, enemas and implants. She also took Chlorella, Blueâgreen algae, Kelp and a multivitamin. We started her treatment in the middle of June 2003 and by August her hair started to grow back and her period became regular again. By September she was feeling wonderful and went back to school. Now I could teach her how to grow her own wheatgrass and sprouts!
I am back in the U.S.A. now with Lynda and Bob. My daughter was tested again on January 7th and March 26th of this year. The doctor says there is no evidence of the tumor or of cancer; she is completely healthy! Not only was this the most painful experience of my life, it was also the most rewarding. I know that hard work and faith in the ability to heal ourselves with âLiving Foodsâ works. Thank you Lynda; thank you Bob; and, thank you Hippocrates Health Institute.
