Need advice for new trading computer

Guys, I have two options (unless the third option which is an entirely different machine is the majority choice) and I was wondering if you think the specs/price make this a good deal. My big concern is one comes with the i7 3770 but with an integrated video card (I hear bad things about them) or an i7 2700 with a 2gb GeForce GT430.

The first costs $799 while the second costs $849.99

I guess I could also buy the second and upgrade the video card considering I am currently running dual monitors but want to upgrade to 4 in the near future.

Just seeing if you guys think this is a good deal or not.

Oh yes, way too low. You need at least 550 but just as important is the rating as that denotes efficiency of power supply

But for that price it might just be worthwhile to purchase it, and then upgrade the power supply.

for $799 you get a lot minus the power supply.

Nope. Neither. Go for a mobo with at least TWO PCIEx16 slots... for 4-monitors.
 
I take it u didn't custom make this machine, as you would save money making this rather than buying it pre-made.

Big things for trading....

Memory... there is no difference in the two machines

Also.. hard drives are the slowest things in computers today, of all the hardware. You should look into SSD... though might not be available in premade machines yet.

Be careful with your PSU.. 350 seems really low... but you actually dont need that much unless you are running some multiples of hard drives, video cards, etc.

Everything is getting faster, smaller and more power efficient... 350 might be solid.

The safest bet for a trading rig is to get any desktop with an X58 chipset mobo. The P/H67 and newer still might be a bit buggy, and many don't have 2 or more x16 slots.

Personally I like Dell T3500, but it was on the early end of X58. That is, it does not have SATA III or USB 3.0 like most of the newer boards.
 
I have been looking at the 3500 but the cost is more than double that of the ZT, for an extra PCI Express slot?

For a workhorse computer, do you believe this is trully not worth the money and I should spend the extra $1000 + for the 3500?
