NBA: Will the Heat repeat + Other Thoughts

Tell me about Phoenix play off success over the last three years? am i missing something???? TONS of teams have won during the regular season but can't get it done in the playoffs...the JAZZ in the 80's and 90's? The MAVs in the 80's? The knicks during Patrick Ewings entire career? ( one final appearance)

Im not saying Magic are the team to beat....still a year maybe wo away...but remember this...there stars are Kids...Dwight was 2nd in the league in rebounding last year...@ 19!...he leads it this year..Darko is 20..Ariza is 20..Jameer is 24...
 
Boy this West Coast trip is really hard...4 and 1.....then again, the competition was not what it used to be ....Kings, Port, Sea, Clips, and Jazz are not exactly world beaters...but still ..its better then the rest of the East has done on the road w/ the west...Magic time on Friday vs Det....Thats a real test
 
Good to see Phoenix and Dallas back up where they belong (no Joe Cocker jokes, please).

Bulls making a comeback (sorta), Philly is just fucked plain and simple, the Spurs look terrific, Orlando showing they're human, Jazz continue to kick ass.

Did anyone think the Lakers would be doing this well? Luke Walton has been channeling Scottie Pippen lately...

Suns Show Power, Defeat Magic

The Suns cruised to a 103-89 win as they locked down the Orlando Magic.

Watched Yao for the first time this year the other night. He was amazing, totally dominated the game. He can shoot, the ref's protect him and let him get away with a lot of pushing and man, is he big. No one can match up to him. I think the only way to beat him is to play all out run and gun.

Yep, hard to see AI fitting in, but on the other hand, might as well roll the dice, because it just don't look to me like they'll be able to "turn it on" and get it done at playoff time this year. So, why not just take a chance. It's not like they're trying to build for the future. When Shaq's done, it's all over anyway.

Remember last year when the Pistons wrapped up the NBA title by Christmas? Or the year before when the Heat had it all wrapped up by March? truthfully, here is the problem with the Suns in my mind....They can go into any town and run and gun and get out with a victory....the problem is in a seven game series.....you get pounded, you get defense and all of the sudden the team across from you knows your every move and game plans for 7 strait games.....they don't play defense so they will not win a title.
