NBA Champion Speaks Out Against Trans Athletes Trying To Join Professional Women’s Sports | The Daily Wire

Former NBA forward Matt Barnes is speaking out against transgender athletes competing against women in professional sports.

When asked during an interview with VladTV what he thought about transgender players playing in the WNBA, Barnes immediately fired back, “I don’t like that.”

“I think, you know, I think if, and this is a deep, to each his own, you want to be whatever you want to be,” he said. “But I mean, if you’re born a certain [gender] you should play it. Whatever you’re born I, to me, I feel like you should play in that space. I feel like you should, because to me, it’s just you see that the swimmer and all this kind of stuff, and again, I’m pro-make your choice. Do you, do this, but, you know, sports is different. You know, I mean, sports is a different, is a different beast.”

When asked what would happen if a top NBA player were to join the WNBA, Barnes said that would “change the whole dynamic of the game.”

“So it’s just like, to me, I just like to each his own and respect, you know, whatever personal says you want to make, but when it comes to sports, it’s just, I mean, crossing that line is a line that shouldn’t be crossed,” he added.

Maybe women just need to come up with their own sports that they'd be better at. Then people wouldn't say we need segregate our sports by gender. Afterall, modern sports were mostly created by men and showcase strength/quickness/endurance. On average and at the elite levels, men are faster and stronger, but women are more flexible. Maybe women can invent more sports that focus on flexibility so that men could never compete with them. I say this as somebody who has a lot of the same biological disadvantages as a female and no matter how hard I work, I wouldn't have a chance to be an elite athlete.

They're taller, can jump higher, hit harder, etc. There's a sound argument to be made that women are better at a lot of subjective sports with judges such as gymnastics and figure skating, because of their flexibility. I believe the elite women are able to make moves in these sports that men physically can't.

Yes, gymnastics and figure skating. They look/do wonderful in those sports.

It was just an example of something women can physically do better than men. Yes, their center of gravity is different which allows them to do shit like this.
