Quote from Max E. Pad:
He said it happened after a service for another soldier, which would mean that it most likely happened at a bar during the day, lots of times if you go to a bar during the day there is no one there, plus it could have happened on the way to the bathroom, or in any number of places where the 2 would not have been seen by anyone else inside the bar.
If i was going to confront someone and punch them out cause they said something i didnt like i know i wouldnt do it right in the middle of the bar, i would wait for my opportunity to confront the person either outside, or in an area of the bar where no one could see me. For anyone who has been in a fight inside or outside of a bar before it really isnt all that difficult to see why there would be no witnesses.

I am quite surprise this is "news"

But I must ask if he did jump him, do you think Jesse would have just let that go?
Quote from Maverick74:
No, I'm simply asking you to understand that it goes both ways. I'm not saying I believe him or don't believe him. I'm saying knowing what a fucking prick Ventura is and not knowing anything about Kyle, I would be inclined to believe Kyle. Why? Because if the story is false, this highly decorated soldier is going to have a shitstorm come his way so fast and furious it will make Iraq look like Disneyland. There will not be a single man or woman in uniform that will ever stay in the same room as him. And he knows that DAS.
And btw, having family in the military, they protect their own. They don't go around to the media and tell people bad stories about what happens among soldiers. And strangers are not likely to come forward either. I certainly would not do it and I doubt you would rat out a man in uniform to get some stupid gay press.
Quote from Max E. Pad:
Yes, obnoxious loud mouth ass holes like Ventura generally tend to get surprisingly quiet when they get whats coming to them, throw in Ventura's ego and the fact that he fancies himself as some sort of tough guy, and it is basically a guarantee that he would be silent about it if it happened as he did not want anyone knowing he got beat up.
He may have had other reasons for letting it go, like a budding film career, or the extra liability known martial artists receive for getting in informal fights. Maybe he knew he was wrong to hit on the other guy's girl in the first place. My point is you weren't wrong, Van Damme was a good fighter. His movies, yeah, heavy and unrealistic choreography, but he's not the first and he won't be the last to be guilty of that. And, everyone loves that clean, strong, controlled, high sidekick he can (could) throw.Quote from Maverick74:
I use to be a huge Jean Claude Van Dam fan. I thought he was an awesome fighter. Bought into the whole muscles from Brussels story. Then I heard the story of how he was in a bar and hitting on some girl and some guy came up to him and just kicked his ass and Van Dam did nothing, just walked out of the bar without saying a word. The whole thing was caught on tape and put on youtube. Just sayin...most of these guys are not as tough as they look. And when you hit a bully, most of them just walk away quietly.
