Natural Gas

Quote from texrex2002:

not entirely on topic, but I just read that UNG controls more than 25% of all nymex contracts.

They're doing a 4 day roll to July, thanks goodness, or we'd have the USO roll bs happening in natty.

Do you have a link to this??? I would be interested in reading this.

Because of the huge contango issue I ruled out buying futures and ETFs.

I figure probably the best way is to buy natural gas producer stocks. I just bought myself COP stocks... not bad getting it at 1/2 the price of what Warren Buffet paid :)

I am going to hold it for as long as interest rate is below 5% (it's gonna be years)...

I'd like to read it too, on a different note, UNG is ripping today

Its going up a bit today, 2, but its still counter-trend. Forbes has an ex oil& nat gas trader[Adam Johnson,Bullseye Brief may 25,2016] comment on ''Bear is....''

Really dont know if he is a good trader; sounds better than average,[He still is bearish on nat gas, but noted you can turn a gas well on/off like a switch .....]Not a prediction.

I want to buy nat gas as well at this price level but the huge contango rules out futures and ETF as a viable vehicle for longer term (months or years) investment.

Anyone has any idea to hold nat gas long term?

No CZ; but i did wonder why BP idea]Boone Pickens]idea of powering autos with NG didn work much. They sell NG in Argentina, along with gasoline; [gasoline sold by liter,LOL] Dove safari guide filled up land rover, looked like air hose[ used to fill a tire] but its NG.Most likely to big a change unless you sell gasoline by liter.LOL. PS I dont really know Adam Johnson energy trader [ex energy trader, maybe] But his free twitter comments over past 50-60 days seems to suggest he is a good shot-NOT a prediction[.Posted late, 5-25-2016+ i seldom buy single stocks but can with my plan]
