i need desperately to keep my positions in and stop this quick profit taking. I gave up $4k worth of profit just today doing that. Same goes for yesterday...

The minis have no liquidity outside the front months.

Some futures markets will quote calendar spreads. As I understand, these markets are made by spread brokers to the underlying futures. I know NYMEX has calendar spread options, but I don't know for sure about plain calendar spreads.

If you want to trade natural gas far months, is there any way other than the pit traded Nymex contracts? I use IB which doesn't offer them.
