I don't know what Jem based his "negative correlation" on, other then his ass. It should be noted he also thinks I'm a "leftist", that natural herd immunity for Covid can be achieved in the US, and that the federal debt can be paid off printing money. I guess we'll see on election night just how close this election really is.

1. As of now the science shows us that we do get antibodies to some degree and if we can get immunity via a vaccine... we can get it naturally. Even if you were to argue antibodies fade... that does not mean we could not get them over and over if we are out and about... building natural immunity.
So... facts did not inform your strongly stated opinion.
2. Regarding the printing of money to pay off the date. One proposal is called the "Big Print". Its is not an idea a created.
As a Sovereign the US could print money on its own volition it does not have to borrow the money. In fact we have printed money without borrowing it in the past.

Covid hit the US pretty hard today. This was not a certainty but it seemed likely. The "explosion" in Canada was a preview, just as per usual clearly Canada is handling Covid better then the US. Trump losing the election is also not a certainty, but very likely Trump will be out of a job within two weeks. It's all about probabilities. Anyone who trades should know this about forecasting.
The "lefty" talk is pure American drivel, a kind of psychosis in current day America. The boogey man playing on your mind; a common enemy for some of you to bs about.
Lefty or righty, "black" or "white", straight or gay, etc., all serve to keep the 99%'s attention on each other and off the 1%. A trick that started, at least on this soil, back in the colonies when "black" and "white" Labor (both of whom were indentured servants) was finding a common voice and starting to frighten Capital.

I believe the studies show more govt creates more cronies and more inequality... And, that income and death taxes are used to stop successful people (non top .5 percent people) from accumulating enough assets over generations to compete with the powerful to buy politicians.
I believe if we are going to fix inequality through taxes we should end taxes on 99.5 of the people and then progressively tax the .5%. (if ending inequality is your goal... how could that not be the remedy. You don't tax the middle. )

The problem with this, jem, is that if not government then who or what will be the countervailing power to corporate and managerial elites who have become so thoroughly aligned politically, culturally, and economically? This was the theory of Trump, right: a man believed to be powerful enough to counter, disrupt, and dispel the establishment, which is precisely the rentier class and their interests?
