Nat Spreads

we're at 3392 with 10 weeks left. figures i've read is 3900 peak storage but i'm not an expert. what a rally from 10:30 report today though.
 
Nymex natural gas for October delivery surged 42.7 cents per million BTUs, or 15.09% to $3.256.
• Up 29.82%, over the last four trading days.
• Biggest single day dollar gain since March 19.
• Biggest single day percentage gain since November 24, 2004

I assume you trade CL and NG, I only ask because I'm looking into trading energies with some size. I currently trade FGBL, ZB, ZN and Fx. I scalp CL fine with 2 lots, but would like to move up to 10 lots and catch larger movements. What is you experience when dealing with 10+ lots?
 
Was going to reshort the v/x today (+x -v) missed it by a few ticks, c'est la vie. Interesting week in the energies, hope everybody made it out alive. Have a good weekend all.

Also to the guy above me, you might try paying attention to the spreads and scalping them v the outright futs. Ten lot of natty could get out of hand real quick, just look at yesterday. Landis is a sharp dude, he could definitely point you in a good direction. There are some real gems in these energy forums, spend a few hours reading them you will learn a lot.
 
so WTH is happening to -V/+X; -V/+F, etc?

It's all over the dang place. Seems like it spreads 10 cents one day, then converges 10 cents the next...

Could the -V be related to the UNG roll??? I thought UNG would be selling V, driving V further down...

Or is it just fundamentally driven?

Sorry, I needed a mental vacation, was getting burned out. I sit at my trade desk from 7:00-4:30ish everyday, eat lunch and surf. Still burned out a little, but that's part of trading (at least for me), would like to have more time to go screw off.

I have not done anymore NYMEX spreads since putting on the +H/-J that I posted earlier in this thread until today, will post that seperately now.
