It is quite possible. With a 60% annual inflation rate, it takes only 3 years...
 
Why don't you ask him what happened to his Roaring 2000 fund? They were pitching the now bankrupt companies(CMGI, ATHM etc..) or stocks that lost 90% of their value at their top stock price like the stars of the future. I can not believe that guy still exists.
