Nasdaq:SGI - Earnings 8/11

If it goes up nicely tonight, don't be tempted to sell out at a nice short term profit. If it has a good story on the conference call... let it ride. I can't tell you how many winners I've picked only to sell out too early.

Of course it's also possible the market is being overly optimistic and even if SGI earnings are good that it won't be good enough and you'll see a drop.

Or perhaps the problems CRAY is having are going to be good for SGI in over the next year. ;)
 
Did you ever check their "opportunities" link? Thats a good tool to use in the FA game. If they are hiring bigtime, its a great tell. And vice versa. If I was long... I'd be lookin. ;)

Yeah I was looking at today's VAP. There was a lot of selling at $6.15. I have not really dealved into their story. And Mikalas... if it goes down tonight, don't be discouraged... just work on being better next time. Knowledge is power bro, leave no stone unturned. Read, read, read.... The internet wasn't invented when I started trading... you young pups have it easy. Use it.

I had a good feeling about this one... but wow!

I studied this company for hours, and really liked what I saw... I guess HP did too!

At EOD there were these weird pops in prices... in my earlier post about the pop _before_ the announcement. I felt like they were just daring me to sell, but I held my ground. :D
 
It was the institutional ownership that I liked. Let the WS boys buy buy buy.

You need to listen to the Conference Call now too though. For real. If you wanna be a pro, ya gotta act like one.
