After years of fighting for more trading to come back onto stock exchanges, Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. NDAQ, -1.04% is considering joining the dark side.

as a retail investor with a couple of hundred or a couple of thousand shares, do you really want a bank dumping hundreds of thousands of shares on the exchange when another bank is willing to buy them in a dark pool?
