I like your thinking. The “Metaverse” suggests this is a good place for profit taking to begin, but there is nothing else that compelling that says “Short ES now”. Still, in tribute to your call, I did take a small bear position in ES.

Thanks. Time will tell. I didn't fancy ES, I looked at both cash and futures and couldn't find anything remotely bearish in the S&P, sorry.

My main concern for our trades is APPL and other tech companies having blow out quarters, not that anyone should really be that surprised by such earnings reports. My target in ES is 4060 by next week. My time stop is one week. I will probably hedge my options spread on the 5 minute if I perceive strength, reducing the necessity of a price stop. Again, this is a small “Engagement” type of trade.
