NASDAQ Composite Futures Contract

Reports indicate that the CME will commence trading futures on the NASDAQ Composite Index on October 27th in E-mini format.

Currently only the NASDAQ 100 Index has a futures contract.

Why the need for this? Personally I think it will just reduce the liquidity in the NDX-100 or maybe it will have a still birth like the Fortune 100 contract.

Any thoughts?
