I don't think C19 is a good reason to be short the S&P. Even if it comes back, politicians won't shut down the economy again and even if the economy shuts down itself, the market will probably rally on more stimulus expectations and UBI funded through continued MMT.

More Covid would be a gift to the market.
The Fed will step in with QE5 and the treasury will send out $2000 checks every month to the entire country.
