Here he claims, incorrectly, that destroying the photon measurement data before anyone looks at it will cause an interference pattern to appear on the detector plate rather than the two line pattern that would be expected if the photons were behaving like particles because they had been measured. It is the collection of the measurement data that causes the photons to behave as particles; not the fact that information has been obtained, as Campbell claims. It isn't the information, it is the measurement itself regardless of whether one discards the information before looking it. The mountain range exists whether Campbell observes it or not. Campbell's observation of the mountain range, and thus having obtained information, isn't responsible for others who look in the same direction also seeing a mountain range. Both Campbell and subsequent observers will see the same mountain range not because someone else has already seen it, and thus obtained information. Rather it's because the mountain range actually does exist whether or not anyone observes it..I looks to me like Campbell is saying reality is probabilities until we interact with it... in short it is virtual.
Campbell has revealed himself as somewhat of a nut. He has intermingled the correct with the profoundly incorrect.

What it implies is astonishing. Not only does information travel freely forwards and backwards in time at the quantum level it does so without regard to proximity. Time and distance can be traversed instantaneously so causality is absent.
The reason we seem to see real objects around us on the macro scale is that the complex wave function has been collapsed by a conscious observation. What some here are missing is that once the wave function is collapsed by one conscious observer it is collapsed for *all* subsequent observers. The mountain range does not disappear when you look away but what you see was created when the first conscious observer collapsed the wave function. As the video implies the information is overwritten in the past to agree with the observed result in the future.
So if there is somewhere on earth that has not been observed there is nothing there but a complex wave of probabilites. Some explorer pops over a ridge and observes all of the photons in the collapsed wave state and it remains in that state for subsequent observers and you have a mountain range.
All of this has been understood since the 1920s but it has proven almost impossible to accept by most people including me.
Science is now saying that nothing can be ruled out including a deity. The mechanisms exist for something to act without regard for time or distance. Additionally quantum physicists cannot rule out many phenomena such as precognition as it is clear that information can traverse time and that distance is no impediment.
