Name of reversal chart pattern?

Quote from crimony:

Anyone know the name of the reversal pattern when a stock traces out a low, rises and then retraces about 50% of the rise and then moves higher? Thanks

Wish i knew the name;
probabilities would depend upon context.

CSCO looked as weak as QQQQ this year, certainly much weaker than 4 years into 1999. yet its shrugging off QQQQ weakness,
most of year.

Do have a name for DIA/YM outperforming other peers today;
would name that suprising.

Do have a name for some oil/gas socks that drop about 30% & keep on droping ;
name those a good polar bear downtrend.

:cool:

look up Scott Carney, Larry Pesavento for more info.

Maybe I'm just missing something (and I've only just skimmed these over) but those gartley/bats/crabs seem like a bunch of crock to me.

The reason? A stopped out gartley, looks like a bat, a stopped out bat looks like a crab, etc etc. In retrospect, every M or W reversal pattern no matter where it *finally* turns will look like a perfect setup (just pick a species), but it won't help much for real time trade management. Does this reasoning make sense?

Quote from Johnny Utah:

You may be talking about the Adam and Eve reversal.

Why does Eve's bottom kind of look spread out and Adam's
looks longer and kind of pointy?

Oh... just a minute... I get it...:p

Yes it does. This is why I had to get away from Ensign.

I kept getting the crabs. And I don't like bats...:(
